We understand that unanticipated events occur in everyone’s life. Unforeseen events are probably reasoning why you might consider cancelling an appointment.
However, please be aware that appointments cancelled within a 24-hour notice period or if you do not turn up for your appointment – this will incur the full charge of the treatment before we can rebook you in again.
Late or last-minute cancellations and ‘no-shows’ disrupt the conscientious and prompt service we aspire to provide to all, we are busy and there will always have been someone who could have been fitted in to missed appointment slots, which is why, as a courtesy to other guests and to staff, these charges exist.
If you are taken ill or there is an emergency or an unavoidable matters, we are reasonable and will try our best to accommodate your matter, please let us know in the first available instance and I will waive our fees.

Introduction
Introduction
Traditional Thai Pressure Point massage, using Acupressure points has been practised in Thailand for hundreds of years, acupressure also known as pressure acupuncture, applies the same principles as acupuncture to promote relaxation wellness and to treat disease.
What Is the Theory Behind Acupressure?
Acupressure is just one of a number of Asian bodywork therapies (ABT) Traditional theory describes special acupoints, or acupressure points, that lie along meridians, or channels, in your body. These are the same energy meridians and acupoints as those targeted with acupuncture. It is believed that through these invisible channels flows vital energy -- or a life force called qi (ch'i). It is also believed that these 12 major meridians connect specific organs or networks of organs, organizing a system of communication throughout your body. The meridians begin at your fingertips, connect to your brain, and then connect to an organ associated with a certain meridian.
According to this theory, when one of these meridians is blocked or out of balance, illness can occur. Acupressure and acupuncture are among the types of treatments that are thought to help restore balance.
How Does Acupressure Work?
Acupressure practitioners use their fingers, palms, elbows or feet, or special devices to apply pressure to acupoints on the body's meridians. Sometimes, acupressure also involves stretching or acupressure massage, as well as other methods.
During an acupressure session, The practitioner gently presses on acupressure points on your body. A session typically lasts about one hour. You may need several sessions for the best results.
The goal of acupressure or other types of Asian bodywork is to restore health and balance to the body's channels of energy and to regulate opposing forces of yin (negative energy) and yang (positive energy). Some proponents claim acupressure not only treats the energy fields and body but also the mind, emotions, and spirit. Some even believe that therapists can transmit the vital energy (external qi) to another person.
Acupressure is the most effective method for self-treatment of tension-related ailments by using the power and sensitivity of the human hand. Acupressure deals with all the aspects of a person as a whole: body, emotions, mind, and spirit as one, not as separate parts. It relaxes muscular tension and balances the vital life forces of the body.
Common Benefits:
- Relieve stress and tension
- Relax mind and body
- Increase blood circulation
- Aid in the removal of toxic wastes
- Provide relief from head, neck and shoulder aches
- Promote the healing of injuries
- Increase energy levels
- Increase overall feeling of well-being
Acupressure uses the fingers to press key points on the surface of the skin to stimulate the body's natural self-curative abilities. When these points are pressed, they release muscular tension and promote the circulation of blood and the body's life force to aid healing.
Acupressure can be effective in helping relieve headaches, eyestrain, sinus problems, neck pain, backaches, arthritis, muscle aches, and tension due to stress. There are also great advantages to using Acupressure as a way to balance the body and maintain good health. The healing touch of acupressure reduces tension, increases circulation, and enables the body to relax deeply. By relieving stress, acupressure strengthens resistance to disease and promotes wellness.
